Valentine's Day

Here's the Valentine Hat! Ms Rose Mary apologized all week and did her best to make Valentines projects less feminine. I thought this was great - they painted it Blue to "boy it up"



Grandma Anderson had to mail her Valentines gift because they spent the week in New Orleans. This worked fine for Zak he loves getting presents - yes he has figured it out just like every other kid and he just can't get enough - PRESENTS!



This weekend was fairly uneventful EXCEPT I got Kent to take me to a movie! Yes it was Valentines and I don't think he felt he could say No - and he couldn't have, I would NOT have let him get out of this one! We saw "Grand Torino" Wow what a good movie. Kent went because he thought there was an old guy that shot people from his porch (you know he would think that was just great! :-) ) But luckily it was more than that and even he liked it. I am no critic but "two thumbs up"!

This week was the official Kick Off to NASCAR! Kent and I are looking forward to a weekend in Vegas (and with out a kid, sorry Zak we love you but still looking forward to dropping you off at Grandmas) - all I can say is the weather better be good. I HATE wearing sweatshirts and ponchos to races!

Boil'n Whitie's

Friday Night Kent planed a friend get together - In my opinion nothing fun or productive was accomplished but he would disagree. They gathered a stack of the antlers from deer shot this year to boil (and I can't believe I am saying this) the scalps off of them. Zak was stuck in the house with the women for most of the night but we did get him out for a minute of Male education. Kent took the picture and Shem (know for his uncanny skills of making antlers looking way bigger than they really are) helped Zak hold the MASSIVE antlers from the White Tail that Kent shot in South Dakota.

I'm a Big Boy Now

We had to get Zak a big boy bed. I thought we could put it off for a few more months but Kent and I woke up way to many mornings with him asleep on the couch or floor. He would get out of his crib at night and couldn't get back in! So we rounded up a bed and new sheets, CARS of course! His room isn't finished yet (I actually should be working on that instead of this but...)I will post pictures of his room completely decorated as soon as I finish it. In my head it is really cute, now if I can just pull it together. We will see!

Happy New Year

No Blogging is not my New Years Resolution - but it wouldn't have been a bad one! I just need to get back in the habit for sure. This is the only journaling I fit in my life so I need to be better. Also, it is nice that my family and friends can keep up (with our oh so crazy life) - Really I have a two year old it can't be that boring.

 

This is a picture of Zak's New Year Hat! He is in the best day care with the best teachers. Now that he is in the toddler class they do a craft everyday, it is so fun to pick him up and see what they did that day. This was the cutest - I had to share!

We're brand new

I was blogging under family blog but I was the only one posting so here is a new address. It is just for my family - ok really just for Zak but occasionally Kent will show up in a picture and even less occasionally I will. Check back for future blogs!
